What is 167?

Once a week, we gather with a group of people at a building and spend about an hour in what is called a worship service. Then we go back to our regular lives and our regular schedules.

However, God never intended our lives to be segmented when it comes to our faith. We have these different parts of our lives that we have to attend to, like work, recreational time, marriage, parenting, friendships, spiritual life.

Wait a minute. That last one doesn't fit in that list. Our spiritual life, our faith, is not another part of our life; it is the foundation for all of our life. It isn't a spoke in the wheel; it is the hub of the wheel.

We are all given seven days each week to use however we choose. 168 hours.

The thing is, how we live the other 167 hours dramatically impacts how we worship during that one hour we meet together.

This blog will be dedicated to helping us in the other 167 hours. It will be about faith as a lifestyle, not as a segment of life.
