Rick McCall
Preaching Minister
Rick came to Bammel in April of 2009 from Austin, Texas, where he worked with Westover Hills Church of Christ for over 16 years. He is a graduate of Abilene Christian University, which is where he met and married his wife, JoEllis. They have two sons, Robert and Richard, both of whom also graduated from ACU. Rick loves spending time with family, spending time with friends, music and sports.

Matt Atnip
InReach Minister
Matt is the InReach minister for Bammel, focusing on the spiritual development of the body here. He is blessed to be married to Ashley and to have Alana and Mattie call him daddy. He began full-time work with the church in 1999 and served as a youth minister for eleven years. He is a reader, a transplanted Tennessean, an Apple junkie, and is the biggest Denver Broncos fan you’ll meet.

Josh Kasinger
Worship Minister
Josh joined the Bammel staff in January 2012, and we are thrilled to have him! His enthusiasm and energy for worship reveals the zeal that is within his heart for the Lord. Josh and his wife, Whitney, have three children: Jordan, Ella, and Braeden.

Gail Matthews
Women's Minister
Gail is one of those rare individuals that was born right here in Houston, Texas. Gail is married to Richard Matthews and thoroughly enjoys her roles as wife, mom, mother-in-law, and grandmother. She is a graduate of Abilene Christian University and has taught high school and middle school mathematics. Gail loves working with the women of the Bammel Church, valuing the contributions they make to the body of Christ. She is most excited about the fact that God, who began a good work in her years ago, has promised to carry it on to completion (Phil. 1:6). Hallelujah!

Michael Montalvo
Connecting Minister
Michael joined the Bammel team in March of 2003 and is privileged to serve as the Connecting Minister for Bammel. He is married to Tami, a most amazing and beautiful woman, and Michael’s best friend. Their son, Matt, attends Lone Star College in Tomball. Michael’s focus is fostering discipleship and service through community, both within and outside the four walls of the Bammel Church. He is passionate about connecting people to Jesus and work that brings him glory by working with the Greeting, Life Group, and New Member Enfolding Ministries. He loves cycling, reading, conversation, coffee, music, the flight of a hawk, and the teachings of a carpenter from Nazareth.

Eric Petty
Youth Minister
Eric is married to Stacy and has two daughters, Lily and Chaney. He has been in youth ministry for 12 years, in Troy, TN; Shreveport, LA; Pensacola, FL; and now here at Bammel in Houston, TX. His favorite song OF ALL TIME is Starlight by Muse, and he can play the little piano part to it. His favorite color is Carolina Blue. And his favorite T-shirt type is Concert.

Kay Lee Gibbs
Youth Minister
Kay Lee was raised in Austin, TX and recently graduated with her masters degree from Texas State. She completed her undergraduate degree at ACU and worked for the 4 summers during college as a youth intern at Westover Hills Church. Kay Lee has a strong passion for working with youth and is very excited about being here with our teens.

Tabitha Glass
Children's Minister
Tabitha became the Children’s Minister in July 2010. Previously, she worked as a middle school choir director in the public school system for 8 years. Tabitha’s passions in life include her family, working with kids, music, and serving her God with the talents He blessed her with. She earned her degree in Music Education from the University of Houston in 2003. Tabitha is honored to be the wife of Joe, a middle school band director, and the mom of Ethan and Corban, ages 2 and 4. Life is busy with the little ones at home, but God is blessing her more and more every day!

Alejandro Ezquerra
Spanish Minister
Alejandro came to Bammel in 2007. His wife, Paulina, serves alongside him in ministry, and he has three daughters, Pao, Andrea, and Eimi. He enjoys music, is a fan of the Beatles, and is a motorcycle enthusiast. He believes that the worst thing that can happen in life is for nothing to happen at all.
El Señor le llevó a Alejandro a servir en la Iglesia de Cristo Bammel en el 2007. Músico de corazón, fan de los Beatles, aficionado a las motocicletas y adicto a la lectura cree que lo peor que puede pasar en la vida, es que no pase nada. Su esposa Paulina y tres hijas (Pao, Andrea y Eimi) le acompañan en el ministerio.

M'Liz Killion
Office Manager
M’Liz has been a Bammel member since January of 2000. She has been on the office staff since October of 2005, after having taught at Northland Christian School for the previous five years. She has three wonderful children, three children-in-law who are gifts from God, and two precious grandchildren. Born in Arkansas, M’Liz made it to Austin to attend the University of Texas way back when it was still 40 acres and then the University of Houston while the war barracks were still there. Knitting, crocheting, rocking, Sudoku, and the occasional jog are leisure pursuits she enjoys.

Becky Poindexter
Assistant to Preaching Minister, InReach Minister, and Worship Minister
Becky has worked in the Bammel office for 10 years. After spending most of those years working with the youth ministry, she is presently serving as Ministry Assistant for Matt, Josh, and Rick. Becky and her husband Jim love to spend their spare time visiting their three favorite destinations: Chicago (to spend time with their daughter Kaela); Dallas (to spend time with their daughter and son-in-law Clark & Lara Packer); and Downtown Houston (to watch the Astros play at Minute Maid Park).

Meg Taylor
Membership, Youth Ministry Assistant
Meg began worshiping at Bammel in 1997 and has been part of the Bammel staff for a total of 6 1/2 years. She is married to Robert and is the proud mom of two children, Trent, who is in the Air Force, and Megan, who is a college student. She loves to golf and spend time with her family.

Leigh Ann Sharp
Media Director
Leigh Ann grew up in North Carolina and began working part-time at Bammel in 2003 while she was attending school at the University of Houston. She graduated from UH in 2006 with an English degree, and began working full time at the church office. She and her husband, J.W., have a baby girl, Kathryn, born in December 2010.

Brandi Ballard
Children's Ministry Assistant
Brandi attended New Mexico State University, studying Early Childhood education. She has been married to her best friend for 19 years. She has two very active boys, Cordan, 13, and Caden, 10, who keep her very busy with sports and school activities. The Ballards moved to Houston in 1998 and placed membership at Bammel that same year. Brandi spent 9 years working in the preschool dept at NCS, then became the Children’s Ministry Assistant in October of 2006. In her spare time (HA! Yea right!!) she enjoys photography (she loves action photography - her favorite subjects are her two boys), scrapbooking, cooking, reading, cuddling on the couch watching movies with her boys... and don’t forget shopping!

Rhonda Burkhalter
Finance
Rhonda grew up in Port Neches, TX and graduated from ACU in 1980 with a degree in Marketing. A year later she met and married Randy. Upon their return from honeymooning they visited Bammel and have called it home ever since. Their daughter, Kelsey, graduated from Faulkner University in 2011, and their son, Cameron, attends the University of Houston. Rhonda loves cats and likes dogs. Her hobbies include crocheting, sewing, quilting, reading & cooking.

Jerry Edmonds
Finance
Jerry joined the staff in 2003 as a part-timer to perform various accounting and finance duties. He and his wife, Doris, graduated from Oklahoma State in the mid 60’s and then moved to Houston to begin careers – he in auditing, she in teaching. They have two sons and daughters-in-law and several grandchildren who live in the area.

Leroy Gragert
Senior Facilities Manager
Leroy has been a member at Bammel since 1971. He served as a Deacon over the facilities for over 20 years. He became the full-time Senior Facilities Manager in 2003 after his retirement from Jorgenson Steel Company where he had worked for 40 years. He is married to Barbara Gragert and they just celebrated their 56th anniversary. He has two children, Roger Gragert and Rhonda Stewart. He loves football and Nascar and most other sports, but his biggest passion is work.

Roger Gragert
Facilities Manager
Roger is Houston born and raised. He came to Bammel in 1971 and was blessed to begin working here taking care of the facilities in 2003. He has been married to Noel for almost 17 years and has 3 children - Lauren, a youth minister at the Altamesa Church of Christ, Ross, who just returned from the US Army and is now an English major at Sam Houston State, and Taylor, a 9th grader at Northland Christian School. Roger loves his family, loves his job, and loves his Bammel family. He is a huge fan of Disney and a huge collector of anything Disney. Goofy is his favorite character.
